I haven't played around with this long enough to write a proper review but here's what it is and why you should try it out now.
Sun Ra by elogoxa is an ambient background synth. Feel you need some soothing background wierdness but can't seem to get anything on your mic other than the cat yawning? Load this thing up in your DAW. The second you load it it starts weaving a wonderful background. Send a repeating stream of MIDI to it and it will start... shimmering to your music. Fantastic for intros/outros.
The synth itself (SynthEdit-made by the looks of it) consists of two wav file players, a synth, the usual modifiers plus effects, and some very cryptic controls. Definately something to play around with.
